A practical projector for everyday movie watching.

Projection size: up to 120 inches
SMART capabilities | |
LCD display | |
Lamp life: 20,000 hours
Bluetooth connectivity |
Pros: | Excellent picture |
Access to TV shows and movies through the built-in SMART app
Sleek design that blends in with any decor
High quality sound | |
No rainbow effect | |
Relatively easy setup | |
Chromecast functionality
Supports Google Assistant |
Cons: | SMART feature blocks third party apps, such as Netflix, etc. |
No ethernet connectivity |
The Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS300W ultra short throw projector uses a combination of lenses and mirrors to display an image on a virtual screen in front of the device. This compact model is 467 mm wide and 400 mm deep. The body has two HDMI inputs, a USB connector for playing video content from a USB drive and Wi-Fi for Internet TV. However, with this device it is not possible to connect to an ethernet network.
The projector is powered by Epson C2 Fine technology, which gives it several advantages. Firstly, a long lamp life of up to 20,000 hours. Secondly, the projector turns on quickly, in just 5.5 seconds in standby mode, or in 6.5 seconds if not connected to an outlet. This model is equipped with built-in speakers, which have quite impressive sound quality and depth. There is a Yamaha 2.1ch direct-start audio system with 20 watts. The 3600 lumens is more than enough for amazingly clear images even in bright fluorescent light.
Note that this ultra short throw projector does not have a zoom lens, so the image size is completely determined by the distance between the device and the screen. This complicates the setup a little. For a 100 inch screen, the distance from the wall to the back of the projector should be 26.6 cm, and for a 120 inch screen, 38.6 cm.
The second difficulty is that the image is created at such an extreme angle that you have to adjust everything with extreme precision down to the millimeter. If you have even slightest deviation in any direction, the picture will be distorted. You can use the keystone function to adjust the geometrics of the image. However, if you choose to do that, the picture will not be as detailed. Thus, it is much better to position the projector itself properly.
To control the device via a smartphone or iPhone, you need to download the corresponding application.
We recommend using the projector with a special branded screen that will realize the device’s full potential.
Overall, the projector has thus far received a lot of positive feedback on Amazon. Many people report good image quality up to 4K, but you have to tinker with the gadget settings in order to achieve such a clear projection.
2. Optoma GT5600
This product on Amazon 👉https://amzn.to/3EoslYH

Excellent projector for gaming.
Basic characteristics and functionality: | Contrast: 20,000: 1 |
Natural resolution: 1920×1200 for HD quality
Speaker: 16W | |
Projection size: 80 to 100 inches
Supports HDMI, USB, and other cable connections
Lamp life: 15,000 hours |
Pros: | 4-angle adjustment |
Keystone Correction | |
Projects up to 4 images simultaneously
Includes a remote control |
The Optoma GT5600 is easy to set up, offers crystal clear images and many connectivity options. This is a great option which is really good value for the money. The device has a range of color processing capabilities, including vibrant and vivid colors, and is specially suited for games and movies. The set includes a 16W speaker. Additionally, you can connect an external audio system. This lightweight and compact model can be carried in a regular backpack, without the risk of breaking or ruining something.
Its compactness does not prevent it from projecting 100 inch images from a distance of 10.3 inches. The 1080p (50/60 Hz) resolution is more than enough for movies and even the most demanding video games.
With 3600 lumens, this projector strikes an excellent balance between color and brightness. This feature allows you to watch videos both in daylight and in low light conditions.
The Optoma GT5600 has a lamp life of 15,000 hours, which means you can watch movies for 4 hours daily for 10 years, making it a great option for film lovers.
One of the main advantages of this projector is its wide range of connectivity options. Firstly, via USB, you can view content directly from a mobile device (smartphone, tablet). A wireless network connection is also available for sharing information using the Optoma HD Cast Pro HDMI Multimedia Stick. Another strong point for the projector is its ability to mirror a screen and stream over Wi-Fi. To do this, however, you need a WUSB adapter, which is sold separately. But these are little things.
This small projector can be placed on a table, mounted on the wall, or even mounted onto the ceiling.
In many professional ratings, this projector occupies a leading place, but customer reviews on Amazon are more mixed. Most praise the high-quality image and overall performance of the device. But, some reviews mention network connectivity issues and setup difficulties. They also write that the image is best seen only on the wall, and is far from ideal when projected onto a screen.
3. Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS500W-100
This product on Amazon 👉https://amzn.to/3xQQ4OK

A great alternative to a huge TV.
Basic characteristics and functionality: | Contrast: 2,500,000:1 |
Image Resolution: 4K | |
Interfaces: HDMI, USB | |
Projection size: up to 100 inches
Brightness: 4,000 lumens
Lamp life: 20,000 hours |
Pros: | Digital imaging |
Android TV operating system with easy-to-use remote control
Instantaneous on/off |
Like most ultra short throw projectors, the LS500 looks a little awkward; it’s a massive rectangle with a large lens and front-mounted speakers. The projector is available in black and white, and is compact in size and well-built. The projection angle is adjustable using the rear feet, and there is also an easy-to-use focus “slider.” But what’s inside is more important to us. And here’s what this clumsy yet compact device is capable of.
The lens produces images a range from 65 to 130 inches at a distance of 0.4 to 0.82 m. Vertical and horizontal keystone correction produces an image with smooth edges, while angle adjustment maintains uniformity.
The official brightness level of 4000 lumens is accompanied by an excellent contrast ratio of 2,500,000: 1. The lamp, which has a life of 20,000 hours, is enough to watch 10,000 films. Image quality will remain at a high level throughout the entirety of the lamp life.
The color transitions are smooth and natural, and the fine fill contributes to the sharpness of the image. For example, human skin will look quite realistic, without any yellow or green tints, which is often the case with laser projectors.
The LS500 uses a stereo audio system. Forward-firing speakers create deep surround sound. Due to the proximity of the projector to the screen, there is no feeling that the sound is cut off from the picture. Particularly discerning users, if they wish, will be able to connect an external audio system.
This projector has received quite a few good reviews on Amazon. Customers praise the bright, high-quality image. But there are also some negative comments. In some reviews, there are complaints that it is difficult to adjust the clarity to the entire projection area at once (when everything is fine in the central part, there are blurry areas around the edges). Some users also noted an insufficiently user-friendly interface, others had difficulties in connecting soundbars and other devices to the projector.
4. LG HU85LA
This product on Amazon 👉https://amzn.to/3dm9DFa

A powerful and aesthetically pleasing projector for Netflix lovers.
Basic characteristics and functionality | Contrast: 2,000,000:1 |
Image Resolution: 4K | |
Speaker: 16W | |
Projection size: up to 120 inches
HDR10 compliant | |
Brightness: 2,700 Lumens
Bluetooth connectivity |
Pros: | Uses 3-channel laser technology with a red laser light source |
Built-in TV tuner | |
Instant response mode for gaming
Easy to customize | |
Supports Google Assistant |
The LG HU85LA 4K projector has a stylish design and will perfectly complement any modern interior. Fabric inserts, a low profile, the presence of all necessary ports all demonstrate the manufacturer’s close attention to detail.
The projector produces a bright and crisp 110-inch picture, without blurring the outer edges or any significant distortions. Movie lovers can take advantage of the expert mode, which will provide near-perfect calibration. Cinema mode decreases brightness and expands the color space.
The laser light engine is rated at 2,700 lumens. A sophisticated laser system eliminates the need for a consistent color wheel that often causes rainbow effects in other projectors.
Adjustable feet are provided for quick and easy adjustment at all four corners of the projector. The LG HU85LA provides 12-point warping that precisely bends the edges of the image, eliminating any misalignment as the projector itself is moved. This means that you will always see a high-quality and clear image.
The device is actually certified by Netflix, so the Netflix plays in impressive Full HD and UHD resolution. This convenience adds support for voice control of the device through the remote control.
Amazon customers have left a lot of good reviews for this projector. Many emphasize its good picture, decent sound, and the ease of setup. On the other hand, they note the lack of support for the Apple TV app, YouTube TV, and other popular services, as well as the high cost.
5. VAVA 4K
This product on Amazon 👉https://amzn.to/3GcNd60

A budget model for home use.
Basic characteristics and functionality: | Contrast: 1,500,000:1 |
Image Resolution: 4K | |
Interfaces: HDMI, USB, line out and audio in
Projection size: up to 100 inches
Brightness: 6,000 Lumens
Bluetooth connectivity |
Pros: | Built-in 60W Harman Kardon Soundbar with DTS-HD and Dolby Audio |
SMART capabilities | |
Diffused light for eye protection
Keystone Correction |
Cons: | Input delay of 107 milliseconds |
Vava 4K is a true home cinema with a huge screen and 4K support at an affordable price. The projector can display images up to 150 inches and only needs to be positioned a few inches from a wall or screen. The picture is always detailed and bright.
The projector has a clean, minimalist design: a box with rounded edges and a soft fabric mesh covering the front and sides will surely appeal to most users. Air vents and ports remain invisible and do not spoil its sleek appearance.
The manufacturer promises contrasting, deep colors and excellent image detail. The picture quality is improved thanks to the ALPD 3.0 technology. And support for 4K with HDR10 will add a pleasant experience to any content.
The projector has many advantages, but there are also a couple of disadvantages.
With a maximum brightness of 2,500 lumens, the projector has difficulty displaying details in the shade when reproduced in daylight conditions. And the crisp images look rich and detailed. The colors are distinguishable and the projection brightness is not bad. The device runs on Android OS 7.1. Built-in software makes accessing streaming media platforms simple and fast.
The soundbar consists of only two 30W drivers, so there won’t be a wide variety of channel separation, but the sound is still rich and clear. You can still discern the sound of broken glass, the ticking of a clock, and other small details. For more impressive acoustics, it’s better to plug in a soundbar.
And in conclusion
Based on the majority of ratings and reviews, the Epson LS300W model would be the best choice for film lovers. Gamers should rather pay attention to the Optoma GT5600. The Epson LS500W impresses with its deep sound and clear picture. Netflix subscribers will love the LG HU85LA. And for those who want to create a real home theater without making a big investment, we recommend VAVA 4K. Choose your model and vote for the best projector on our site!
